AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Forty Thousand
Dollars ($140,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Bon Aire Storm Sewer (2004042), in the Cities
of Ladue and Olivette, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with D.H.I. Contracting, LLC for the construction of the
aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is
One Hundred Twenty-eight Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($128,800.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Eleven Thousand Two
Hundred Dollars ($11,200.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars
($140,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be used for project costs for
the construction of storm sewers in Bon Aire Storm Sewer (2004042), in the
Cities of Ladue and Olivette, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with D.H.I. Contracting, LLC as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Bon Aire Storm Sewer
(2004042), in the Cities of Ladue and Olivette, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 21st day of March, 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
