AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
LERCH VINCI & HIGGINS / SCHOOL BOARD BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have determined that a need exists
for specialized accounting services in connection with the review of the defeated
Carteret School Board Budget for the year 2002-2003; and
WHERI~AS, such specialized accounting services can be provided by a
recognized accounting firm, and the firm of Lerch, Vinci & Higgins, of Fair Lawn
New Jersey, is so recognized in the accounting community and possesses the
requisite knowledge and experience to provide said services; and
WItEREAS, Lerch, Vinci & Higgins has submitted a proposal to provide
the above described accounting services in an amount not to exceed $6,000.00;
and
WHEREAS, funds are or will be available for this pupose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council
of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from Lerch, Vinci & Higgins for accounting
services related to the review of the defeated School Board Budget
for the year 2002-2003 at a total cost not to exceed $6,000.00 at
the hourly rate set forth in its previous contracts with the Borough
is hereby approved.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional
services contract.
