A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE INFORMAL BIDDING
PROCESS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE
GYMNASIUM ROOFAND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE
NECESSARY FUNDS APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER
WHEREAS, the a gymnasium roof located at the Community Center has reached the end
of its service life and is in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, the roof replacement needs to be completed before the next rainy season; and
WHEREAS, the roof replacement has been estimated to cost $150,000 that need to be
appropriated; and
WHEREAS, this project can be done more expeditiously and economically through an
informal bidding process; and
WHEREAS, Section 6-3.13c of the Lynwood Municipal Code allows the authorization of
said bidding procedure by a 4/5 vote from the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood as
follows:
Section 1: That staff is authorized to replace the gymnasium roof located at the
Community Center through an informal bidding process.
Section 2: That the City Manager is authorized to make the following funds appropriation
and transfer:

Section: 3: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
