A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE AWARD OF THE PURCHASE OF THE SOLAR LED LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR
THE RICARDO LARA LINEAR PARK TO SMART ERA LIGHTING SYSTEMS AND
APPROVING APPROPRIATION OF $150,000 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED 2017
REVENUE BONDS (FUND 9053) FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF
THE SOLAR LED LIGHTING SYSTEM
WHEREAS, since the Ricardo Lara Linear Park opened, the community use of
the park has increased; and
WHEREAS, solar LED lighting system is easier to install and to maintain than
traditional lighting; and
WHEREAS, on September 13, 2018, staff issued a Notice Inviting Bids for the
purchase of the solar LED Lighting System; and
WHEREAS, staff presented at the October 2, 2018 the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves to award the contract to Smart Era
Lighting Systems, as the lowest responsible bidder.
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Purchase Order Agreement with the selected vendor.
Section 3. That the City Council approves the following appropriation for the
purchase and installation of solar LED Lights:
