HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrd. 904 - Appropriation Ordinance FY 13 BudgetORDINANCE NO.904 AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED THE FY13 ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2012, APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $17,092,520 TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF McCALL FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR, AUTHORIZING A LEVY OF A SUFFICIENT TAX. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McCALL, VALLEY COUNTY, STATE OF IDAHO: SECTION 1. TITLE: This Ordinance shall be entitled and cited as the "FY13 Annual Appropriation Ordinance of the City of McCall." SECTION 2. FINDINGS: The City Council finds: A. As required by law, the city has duly noticed and held a public hearing on the 09 day of August, 2012 for a proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 (FY13) for the City of McCall, Idaho; and B. That the sum of $17,092,520 be, and the same is, appropriated to defray the necessary expenses and liabilities of the City of McCall, Valley County, State of Idaho for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2012. C. That the appropriations and sums of money as are hereinafter set forth in Section 3 are deemed necessary to defray all the necessary expenses and liabilities of the City of McCall for FY13. SECTION 3. ADOPTION OF THE BUDGET AND APPROPRIATION OF EXPENDITURE: The City Council hereby adopts the budget and the appropriation of expenditures for the City of McCall, Idaho, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2012, and ending September 30, 2013 the objects for which such appropriation is made, and the amount of each object and purpose is as follows: ORDINANCE NO. 904— Passage Date August 23, 2012 1 of 3 APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE — FY13 BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO ESTIMATED EXPENDITURES: GENERAL FUND Mayor and Council $215,640 Info Systems $272,778 City Manager $246,137 Administrative Costs $380,223 Finance Department $253,098 Clerk Department $164,732 Local Option Tax Department $240,440 Community Development $505,662 Police Department $1,564,550 Parks $503,077 Grants $23,392 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) $375,454 Contingency $350,000 General Fund Total $5,095,183 Streets/Public Works Fund $2,132,860 Library Fund $425,435 Recreation Fund $871,345 Airport Fund $2,202,349 Capital Projects Fund $778,500 LID's $18,318 Golf Fund $797,134 Water Fund $2,268,514 Sewer Fund $2,502,882 SPECIAL REVENUE & ENTERPRISE FUND EXPENDITURES $11,997,337 TOTAL PROPOSED EXPENDITURES $17,092,520 SECTION 4. TAX LEVY: That a general tax levy on all taxable property within the City of McCall be levied in an amount allowed by law for the general purposes for said City, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2012. SECTION 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 6. The City Clerk is directed to forthwith publish this Ordinance and file a certified copy of the same with the office of the Secretary of State of the State of Idaho as provided in I.C. §50-1003 and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon its passage, approval and publication in one issue of The Star -News, a newspaper for general circulation of the City of McCall, and the official newspaper of said City.
