SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING, OCTOBER 28, 2013
CALL TO ORDER
The Special City Council Meeting of October 28, 2013, was convened at 5:32 P.M. by
President Pro Tempore Bob Scrivner in the absence of Mayor Eric Struemph.
ROLL CALL
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Bray, Carroll, Hussey, Mihalevich, Prather, Schulte, and
Scrivner
*Arrived Late: Branch (5:37 P.M.), Graham (6:00 P.M.), and Henry (5:35
P.M.)
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION TOPICS
Interim City Administrator Drew Hilpert made a brief presentation regarding the following
topics:
1. Proposed amendments to Chapter 2 of the City Code
2. Economic Incentives Policies
3. Public Works Director Position
4. Fire Chief Position
Following the presentation and question and answer period, the Council indicated they
would like a little more time to consider Mr. Hilpert’s recommendations regarding filling
the positions of Public Works Director and Fire Chief. Mr. Hilpert will be putting together
more information to provide the Council based upon their discussion and preferences
regarding how the searches should be conducted for the two positions.
No actions were taken on any of the discussion topics at this time.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Ralph Bray, seconded by Councilman
Jim Branch, and approved unanimously at 7:30 P.M.
