AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Six Hundred Thirty
Thousand. Dollars ($1,630,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East
Sanitary Relief Phase IV (90022D), in the City of Ballwin, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.M.
Marschuetz Construction, for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is
One Million Five Hundred Fifty-three Thousand Three Hundred Eighty and
26/100 Dollars ($1,533,380.26), and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Seventy-six Thousand Six Hundred
Nineteen and 74/100 Dollars ($76,619.74), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Six Hundred Thirty
Thousand. Dollars ($1,630,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Fishpot East Sanitary Relief Phase IV (90022D), in the City of
Ballwin, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with J.M. Marschuetz Construction as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East
Sanitary Relief Phase IV (90022D), in the City of Ballwin, Missouri, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 9th day of April 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 14, 2007.
