AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Million Five Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($7,500.000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure
Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY 2007) (2006096), in the City of St. Louis and St.
Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Michels Pipe Services, Div. of Michels Corp. for the construction
of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is
Six Million Seventy-six Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-four Dollars
($6,076,734.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other
project expenses is One Million Four Hundred Twenty-three Thousand Two
Hundred Sixty-six Dollars ($1,423,266.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Million Five Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($7,500.000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY 2007) (2006096), in the City of St.
Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Michels Pipe Services, Div. of Michels Corp.as the
lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY 2007) (2006096), in the City of St.
Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 11th day of April, 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 14, 2007.
