AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Forty Thousand
Dollars ($240,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of CSO - Riverview North Sewer
Separation/Elimination (I-278 and I-317) (2003052A), in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
XL Contracting, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Two Hundred
Eighteen Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-five Dollars ($218,795.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-
one Thousand Two Hundred Five Dollars ($21,205.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Forty Thousand
($240,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to
be used for project costs for the construction of CSO - Riverview North Sewer
Separation/Elimination (I-278 and I-317) (2003052A), in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of CSO - Riverview North Sewer Separation/Elimination (I-
278 and I-317) (2003052A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 2nd day of May, 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2007.
