HomeMy Public PortalAbout12515O R D I N A N C E NO. 12515 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eighty-four Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($84,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of University City Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Balson Ave. 7800 Block Storm Sewer (2006131), in the City of University City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd., for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Seventy-six Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-three Dollars ($76,723.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-seven Dollars ($7,777.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Eighty-four Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($84,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of University City Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Balson Ave. 7800 Block Storm Sewer (2006131), in the City of University City, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd., as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Balson Ave. 7800 Block Storm Sewer (2006131), in the City of University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 31st day of July, 2007. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 11, 2007.
