Dollars ($115,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm sewers in Wildwood Ln. #75 Storm Sewer (89100), in the City of Kirkwood,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Heartland
Construction & Excavating for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is One
Hundred Three Thousand Nine Hundred Eighteen Dollars ($103,918.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eleven
Thousand Eighty-two Dollars ($11,082.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Dollars
($115,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Wildwood Ln. #75 Storm Sewer (89100), in the City
of Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Heartland Construction & Excavating as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Wildwood Ln. #75 Storm Sewer
(89100), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 21st day of August, 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 11, 2007.
