HomeMy Public PortalAbout12521 O R D I N A N C E NO. 12521 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Sixty-five Thousand
Dollars ($265,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in LC - 01 Felton, Arlee and Vida to
Clyde Sanitary Relief Phase III (90056B), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth &
Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Two Hundred Forty-one
Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-two Dollars ($241,952.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-three Thousand
Forty-eight Dollars ($23,048.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Dollars
($265,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in LC - 01 Felton, Arlee
and Vida to Clyde Sanitary Relief Phase III (90056B), in St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of sanitary sewers in LC - 01 Felton, Arlee and Vida to Clyde Phase
III Sanitary Relief (90056B), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 22nd day of August 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 11, 2007.
