AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Ninety-five
Thousand Dollars ($395,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of University City Branch of River Des Peres
to be used for project costs for the construction of Albin Ave. – Brenner Ave.
Storm Sewer (2001091), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. for the
aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Three Hundred Fifty-
eight Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty-eight Dollars ($358,938.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Thirty –
six Thousand Sixty-two Dollars ($36,062.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Ninety-five Thousand
Dollars ($395,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of University City Branch of River Des
Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of Albin Ave. – Brenner
Ave. Storm Sewer (2001091), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of Albin Ave. – Brenner Ave. Storm Sewer (2001091), in St.
Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of
August 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 11, 2007.
