Thousand Dollars ($3,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-08 Fee Fee Creek
Sanitary Relief (89137), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for
the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Three Million Three
Hundred Two Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty Dollars ($3,302,780.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One
Hundred Ninety-seven Thousand Two Hundred Twenty Dollars ($197,220.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Five Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($3,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-08
Fee Fee Creek Sanitary Relief (89137), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-08 Fee Fee Creek Sanitary Relief (89137),
in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 4th day of October 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2007.
