HomeMy Public PortalAbout12549O R D I N A N C E NO. 12549 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Seventy-two Thousand Dollars ($372,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Girard Place No. 149 Storm Sewer Improvements (89052), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Three Hundred Fifty-three Thousand Nine Hundred Four and 29/100 Dollars ($353,904.29), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eighteen Thousand Ninety-five and 71/100 Dollars ($18,095.71), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Seventy-two Thousand Dollars ($372,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Girard Place No. 149 Storm Sewer Improvements (89052), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Girard Place No. 149 Storm Sewer Improvements (89052), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 19th day of October, 2007. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2007.
