HomeMy Public PortalAbout12550O R D I N A N C E NO. 12550 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Nine Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($5,900,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Maline Trunk Sanitary Relief
Phase III Section A (90080A), in unincorporated St. Louis County and the Cities of
Ferguson and Jennings, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Purler-Cannon-Schulte, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Five Million Six Hundred
Sixteen Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-two Dollars ($5,616,382.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two
Hundred Eighty-three Thousand Six Hundred Eighteen Dollars ($283,618.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars
($5,900,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Maline Trunk
Sanitary Relief Phase III Section A (90080A), in unincorporated St. Louis County
and the Cities of Ferguson and Jennings, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Purler-Cannon-Schulte, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Maline Trunk Phase III Sanitary
Relief Section A (90080A), in unincorporated St. Louis County and the Cities of
Ferguson and Jennings, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 22nd
day of August 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2007.
