HomeMy Public PortalAbout12570O R D I N A N C E NO. 12570 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the procurement of pump station equipment as part of the Lemay Pump Station No. 3 (Pump Procurement) (2003078B) and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Vandevanter Engineering a Division of Lee Matthews Equipment, Inc. for the furnishing of the aforesaid pump station equipment. WHEREAS, the bid for the procurement of pump station equipment is Ninety-five Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-nine Dollars ($95,239.00) and the allowance for change orders and other project costs is Four Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-one Dollars ($4,761.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for the procurement of pump station equipment as part of the Lemay Pump Station No. 3 (Pump Procurement) (2003078B). Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Vandevanter Engineering a Division of Lee Matthews Equipment, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of pump station equipment as part of the Lemay Pump Station No. 3 (Pump Procurement) (2003078B). Section Three. The contract authorized in Section Two of this ordinance shall be comprised of such terms and conditions as are approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 10, 2008.
