Thousand Dollars ($3,300,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs associated with the Lower Meramec River System Improvements –
Fine Road Lagoon Closure (95066N1) in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Synagro Central,
LLC for the closure of the Fine Road Lagoon.
WHEREAS, the bid for the closure of said lagoon is Two Million Seven
Hundred One Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-five Dollars ($2,701,855.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is Five Hundred
Ninety-eight Thousand One Hundred Forty-five Dollars ($598,145.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Three Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($3,300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs associated with the Lower Meramec River System
Improvements – Fine Road Lagoon Closure (95066N1) in unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Synagro Central, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the
Lower Meramec River System Improvements – Fine Road Lagoon Closure
(95066N1) in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 28th of November, 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 10, 2008.
