HomeMy Public PortalAbout12585O R D I N A N C E NO. 12585 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Dollars ($3,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in UR-06 Upper River Des Peres Sanitary Relief Phase II (89170), in the Cities of University City, Overland and Olivette, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Two Million Eight Hundred Forty-six Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($2,846,900.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Thousand Fifty-three and One Hundred Dollars ($153,100.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Dollars ($3,000,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in UR-06 Upper River Des Peres Sanitary Relief Phase II (89170), in the Cities of University City, Overland and Olivette, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in UR-06 Upper River Des Peres Sanitary Relief Phase II (89170), in the Cities of University City, Overland and Olivette, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 13th day of December 2007. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 10, 2008.
