AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Forty-five Thousand
Dollars ($145,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for site
restoration and landscaping improvements for the Lower Meramec WWTP Site
Restoration/Landscaping Improvements (95066H), in unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid
restoration and landscaping improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is One Hundred
Thirty-one Thousand One Hundred Ten Dollars ($131,110.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
Thirteen Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety Dollars ($13,890.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Forty-five Thousand
Dollars ($145,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for site restoration and landscaping improvements for the
Lower Meramec WWTP Site Restoration/Landscaping Improvements (95066H),
in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for site restoration and landscaping improvements for the
Lower Meramec WWTP Site Restoration/Landscaping Improvements (95066H)
in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 18th day of January 2008.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
