AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Sixty Thousand
Dollars ($160,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for the construction of storm
sewers in Spencer Avenue Storm Sewer (2006195), in the City of Overland,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
XL Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is
One Hundred Forty-five Thousand Three Hundred Twenty and 25/100 Dollars
($145,320.25) and the allowance for construction change orders and other
project expenses is Fourteen Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-nine and 75/100
Dollars ($14,679.75), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars
($160,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for the
construction of storm sewers in Spencer Avenue Storm Sewer (2006195), in the
City of Overland, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of storm sewers in Spencer Avenue Storm Sewer
(2006195), in the City of Overland, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 30th day of January 2008.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon it enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 10, 2008.
