HomeMy Public PortalAbout12624O R D I N A N C E NO. 12624 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($470,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of a channel in Ballas Road N. #103 & 107 (GRG-38) Channel Improvements (2003128), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with R.V. Wagner, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid channels. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said channels is Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety and 02/100 Dollars ($420,890.02), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty-nine Thousand One Hundred Nine and 98/100 Dollars ($49,109.98), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($470,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of channels in Ballas Road N. #103 & 107 (GRG-38) Channel Improvements (2003128), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with R.V. Wagner, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Ballas Road N. #103 & 107 (GRG-38) Channel Improvements (2003128), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day of March 2008. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 8, 2008.
