HomeMy Public PortalAbout12627O R D I N A N C E NO. 12627 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Dollars ($165,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Manchester & Missouri Avenue Storm Sewer Phase I (85071A), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is One Hundred Fifty-one Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-one and 90/l00 Dollars ($151,431.90) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is Thirteen Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-eight and 10/100 Dollars ($13,568.10), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT Section One. The sum of One Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Dollars ($165,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Manchester & Missouri Avenue Storm Sewer Phase I (85071A), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Manchester & Missouri Avenue Storm Sewer Phase I (85071A), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 24h day of March 2008. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 8, 2008.
