HomeMy Public PortalAbout12634O R D I N A N C E NO. 12634 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Eva - Wabash Sanitary Relief Phase I (2001049) Phase II (2001049A) in the City of Berkeley, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Three Million One Hundred Ninety-three Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-four Dollars ($3,193,294.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is Two Hundred Six Thousand Seven Hundred Six Dollars ($206,706.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Eva - Wabash Sanitary Relief Phase I (2001049) Phase II (2001049A) in the City of Berkeley, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Eva - Wabash Sanitary Relief Phase I (2001049) Phase II (2001049A) in the City of Berkeley, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of April 2008. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 12, 2008.
