HomeMy Public PortalAbout12637O R D I N A N C E NO. 12637 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($950,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Bellefontaine #1 Lateral Sanitary
Relief (SKME-315) (2003101) in the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting,
Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is
Eight Hundred Ninety-six Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty Dollars ($896,920.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project Costs is Fifty-
three Thousand Eighty Dollars ($53,080.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($950,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Bellefontaine #1
Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-315) (2003101) in the City of Bellefontaine
Neighbors, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Bellefontaine #1 Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-
315) (2003101) in the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 8th day of April 2008.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 12, 2008.
