HomeMy Public PortalAbout12638O R D I N A N C E NO. 12638 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,100,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-11 and CC-20 Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Relief Phase II (89130A), in the Cities of Town & Country and Creve Coeur, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is One Million Thirty-thee Thousand Seven Two Hundred Twenty-three Dollars ($1,033,223.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Sixty-six Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-seven Dollars ($66,777.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,100,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-11 and CC-20 Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Relief Phase II (89130A), in the Cities of Town & Country and Creve Coeur, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-11 and CC-20 Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Relief Phase II (89130A), in the Cities of Town & Country and Creve Coeur, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 2nd day of April 2008. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 12, 2008.
