HomeMy Public PortalAbout12642O R D I N A N C E NO. 12642 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars
($660,000.00) from the Storm Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Lemay Gardens Separate Sewer area I/I Reduction
(2004063) in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. for the construction
of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Six
Hundred Twenty-four Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty-nine Dollars ($624,929.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project Costs is Thirty-
five Thousand Seventy-one Dollars ($35,071.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars
($660,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Storm Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Lemay Gardens Separate
Sewer area I/I Reduction (2004063) in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Lemay Gardens Separate Sewer area I/I Reduction
(2004063) in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 7th day of April 2008.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 12, 2008.
