Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Cardinal Point Partners, LLC, whereby Cardinal Point Partners, LLC
will provide federal legislative services for the District, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Cardinal Point Partners, LLC, whereby Cardinal Point
Partners, LLC, will provide federal legislative services for the District.
Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of this ordinance
shall commence on May 9, 2008 and terminate on May 8, 2009 and may be renewed
at the option of the District for two (2) one-year terms; shall provide for a total
annual fee not to exceed Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00) plus
reimbursable expenses; and be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are
approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. The federal legislative services as herein provided for
are essential to the operation of the District, and must be procured without delay,
thus creating an emergency within the meaning of the Charter. Accordingly, this
ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 12, 2008.
