($410,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for
combined sewer replacement in the Oxford and Big Bend Combined Sewer
Replacement (Infrastructure Repair) (2006083), in the City of Maplewood, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson
Construction Company, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Three Hundred Seventy-
three Thousand One Hundred Ninety Dollars ($373,190.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Thirty-six Thousand Eight
Hundred Ten Dollars ($36,810.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($410,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for combined sewer replacement in the Oxford and Big Bend
Combined Sewer Replacement (Infrastructure Repair) (2006083), in the City of
Maplewood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for, combined sewer replacement in the Oxford and Big Bend
Combined Sewer Replacement (Infrastructure Repair) (2006083), in the City of
Maplewood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th day of May
2008.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 10, 2008.
