AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of Two Hundred Forty-five
Thousand Dollars ($245,000.00), to be funded as follows: One Hundred Fifty-
five Thousand Dollars ($155,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and
Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek, to be used for project costs for
the construction of sanitary and storm sewers in Lorenzo Lane Sanitary Sewer
Relocation (2001058A) in the City of Ladue, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co.,
Ltd. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary and storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary and storm
sewers is Two Hundred Twenty-three Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-five
Dollars ($223,755.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and
other project costs is Twenty-one Thousand Two Hundred Forty-five Dollars
($21,245.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT
Section One. The total sum of Two Hundred Forty-five Thousand
Dollars ($245,000.00) to be funded as follows: One Hundred Fifty-five
Thousand Dollars ($155,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and
Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek, to be used for project costs for
the construction of sanitary and storm sewers in Lorenzo Lane Sanitary Sewer
Relocation (2001058A) in the City of Ladue, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary and storm sewers in Lorenzo
Lane Sanitary Sewer Relocation (2001058A) in the City of Ladue, Missouri,
with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 12th day of June 2008.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 14, 2008.
