Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Kohn, Shands, Elbert, Gianoulakis & Giljum, LLP, whereby Kohn,
Shands, Elbert, Gianoulakis & Giljum, LLP will provide legal consulting services
pertaining to stormwater rate issues, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer is
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Kohn, Shands, Elbert, Gianoulakis & Giljum, LLP, whereby
Kohn, Shands, Elbert, Gianoulakis & Giljum, LLP will provide legal consulting
services pertaining to stormwater rate issues.
Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of this ordinance
shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the office
of General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. The legal consulting services pertaining to stormwater
rate issues as herein authorized are vital to the operations of the District, and must
be procured without delay, thus creating an emergency within the meaning of the
Charter. Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 14, 2008.
