AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($530,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Natural Bridge Branch
Sanitary Relief (SKME-221) (2006048), in the City of Woodson Terrace,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Karsten Equipment Co. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Five
Hundred Three Thousand Two Hundred Forty-six Dollars ($503,246.00) and
the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
Twenty-six Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-four Dollars ($26,754.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($530,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to
be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Natural
Bridge Branch Sanitary Relief (SKME-221) (2006048), in the City of Woodson
Terrace, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Natural Bridge Branch
Sanitary Relief (SKME-221) (2006048), in the City of Woodson Terrace,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of July 2008.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 11, 2008.
