AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Three
Hundred Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($345,000.00) from the Stormwater Facilities
Fund of the District for continuing the operation and maintenance of water quality
sampling in Stream Flow Water Quality Sampling (2007266B); and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into Amendment No. 1 to Contract 07-131 with the MEC
Water Resources, Inc. for the aforesaid services.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 12525, adopted October 11, 2007,
appropriated the initial funding for and authorized said contract, and
WHEREAS, said contract provides for an initial term of one (1) year
with two (2) additional one-year renewal terms at the option of the District, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Forty-five Thousand Dollars
($345,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Stormwater Facilities Fund of the
District for continuing the operation and maintenance of water quality sampling in
Stream Flow Water Quality Sampling (2007266B).
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into Amendment No. 1 to Contract 07-131 with MEC Water Resources, Inc. for the
operation and maintenance of water quality sampling in Stream Flow Water
Quality Sampling (2007266B); said contract to be comprised of such terms and
conditions as are approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 11, 2008.
