HomeMy Public PortalAbout12748O R D I N A N C E NO. 12748 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($290,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Colonial Ln. #8556 Storm Improvements (86141), in the City of Ladue, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Two Hundred Sixty-five Thousand One Hundred Thirteen and 25/100 Dollars ($265,113.25), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-four Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-six and 75/100 Dollars ($24,886.75), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($290,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Colonial Ln. #8556 Storm Improvements (86141), in the City of Ladue, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Colonial Ln. #8556 Storm Improvements (86141), in the City of Ladue, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of August 2008. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 7, 2008.
