HomeMy Public PortalAbout12749O R D I N A N C E NO. 12749 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Sixty-five Thousand
Dollars ($265,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm sewers at Edna & Thursby Storm Sewer (2004058), in the City of
Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Kozeny-Wagner, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm
sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Two
Hundred Forty Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-six and 18/100 Dollars
($240,366.18), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project
expenses is Twenty-four Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-three and 82/100 Dollars
($24,633.82), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Dollars
($265,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Edna & Thursby Storm Sewer (2004058), in the
City of Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Kozeny-Wagner, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Edna & Thursby Storm Sewer (2004058), in the
City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of
August 2008.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 7, 2008.
