HomeMy Public PortalAbout12750O R D I N A N C E NO. 12750 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($580,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for storm sewer construction in the CSO - Ferguson and Raymond CSO Interceptor (I-134, L-074) Sewer Separation (2005106), in the City of University City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Five Hundred Twenty- eight Thousand Nine Hundred Thirteen and 35/100 Dollars ($528,913.35), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Fifty-one Thousand Eighty-six and 65/100 Dollars ($51,086.65), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($580,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for storm sewer construction in the CSO - Ferguson and Raymond CSO Interceptor (I-134, L-074) Sewer Separation (2005106), in the City of University City, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for, storm sewer construction in the CSO - Ferguson and Raymond CSO Interceptor (I-134, L-074) Sewer Separation (2005106), in the City of University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 19th day of August 2008. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 7, 2008.
