HomeMy Public PortalAbout12761O R D I N A N C E NO. 12761 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of combined sewers in CSO - Southwest Industrial Center Outfalls L-046, L-049, L-177 Separation (2006115), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid combined sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said combined sewer construction is One Hundred Fifty-six Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-two Dollars ($156,752.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eighteen Thousand Two Hundred Forty-eight Dollars ($18,248.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of combined sewers in CSO - Southwest Industrial Center Outfalls L-046, L-049, L-177 Separation (2006115), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of combined sewers in CSO - Southwest Industrial Center Outfalls L-046, L-049, L-177 Separation (2006115), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of September 2008. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 13, 2008.
