HomeMy Public PortalAbout12777O R D I N A N C E NO. 12777 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($7,750,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section A, Phase II (89119B), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with SAK Construction, LLC for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Seven Million One Hundred Seventy-six Thousand Four Hundred Seventy Dollars ($7,176,470.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Five Hundred Seventy-three Thousand Five Hundred Thirty Dollars ($573,530.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Seven Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($7,750,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section A, Phase II (89119B), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section A, Phase II (89119B), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of October 2008. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 11, 2008.
