AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty-two Thousand Dollars
($52,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of University City to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Oak to Four Winds Storm Sewer
(2001045), in the City of Overland, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with All Type Grading -
Excavating, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Forty-seven
Thousand One Hundred Forty and 68/100 Dollars ($47,140.68), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
Four Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-nine and 32/100 Dollars
($4,859.32), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty-two Thousand Dollars
($52,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of University City to be used for
project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Oak to Four Winds
Storm Sewer (2001045), in the City of Overland, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with All Type Grading -
Excavating, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
storm sewers in Oak to Four Winds Storm Sewer (2001045), in the City
of Overland, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 29th
day of October 2008.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 11, 2008.
