HomeMy Public PortalAbout12794 O R D I N A N C E NO. 12794 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Million Eight Hundred Forty-
five Thousand Dollars ($7,845,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Creve Coeur Creek
Sanitary Trunk Sewer Relief Phase I (2003063A), in the Cities of Chesterfield and
Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Millstone Bangert, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Seven Million One Twenty-
three Thousand Forty-five Dollars ($7,123,045.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-one Thousand
Nine Hundred Fifty-five Dollars ($721,955.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Million Eight Hundred Forty-five
Thousand Dollars ($7,845,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Trunk Sewer Relief Phase I (2003063A), in
the Cities of Chesterfield and Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to enter into a contract with Millstone Bangert, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary
Trunk Sewer Relief Phase I (2003063A), in the Cities of Chesterfield and
Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the
24th day of November 2008.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 8, 2009.
