HomeMy Public PortalAbout12796O R D I N A N C E NO. 12796 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of Five Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,400,000.00) from the following funds in the amounts listed: the Sanitary Replacement Fund – Four Million Six Hundred Sixty-four Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty Dollars ($4,664,880.00); Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement of Fountain Creek – Thirty-three Thousand One Hundred Fifty-eight Dollars ($33,158.00); Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Vinita Park – Fifty-seven Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-four Dollars ($57,394.00); Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Wedgewood Creek – Thirty-four Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($34,450.00); Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Clayton Central – One Thousand Three Hundred Eighteen Dollars ($1,318.00); Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Highway 67 & Cambria – One Hundred Thirty Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-three Dollars ($130,763.00); Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Watkins Creek – One Hundred Forty-one Thousand Thirty-seven Dollars ($141,037.00); Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek – Two Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($280,000.00); and Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek – Fifty-seven Thousand Dollars ($57,000.00) to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2009) Phase II (2008128B) in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with SAK Construction, LLC for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is Five Million Two Hundred Eighty-eight Thousand Two Hundred Nine and 15/100 Dollars ($5,288,209.15), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is One Hundred Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety and 85/100 Dollars ($111,790.85), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the following funds in the amounts listed: the Sanitary Replacement Fund – Four Million Six Hundred Sixty-four Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty Dollars ($4,664,880; Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement of Fountain Creek – Thirty-three Thousand One Hundred Fifty-eight Dollars ($33,158); Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Vinita Park  Fifty-seven Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-four Dollars ($57,394.00); Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Wedgewood Creek  Thirty-four Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($34,450.00); Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Clayton Central  One Thousand Three Hundred Eighteen Dollars ($1,318.00); Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Highway 67 & Cambria  One Hundred Thirty Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-three Dollars ($130,763.00); Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Watkins Creek  One Hundred Forty-one Thousand Thirty-seven Dollars ($141,037.00); Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek  Two Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($280,000.00); and Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek  Fifty-seven Thousand Dollars ($57,000.00) to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2009) Phase II (2008128B) in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2009) Phase II (2008128B) in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 18th day of November 2008. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 8, 2009.
