AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Ninety
Thousand Dollars ($690,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to
be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Weaver
Avenue Sanitary Relief Sewer (2003057), in the City of Maplewood,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. for the aforesaid
storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Six
Hundred Thirty Thousand Eight Hundred Forty Dollars ($630,840.00)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project
expenses is Fifty-nine Thousand One Hundred Sixty Dollars
($59,160.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Ninety Thousand
Dollars ($690,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of
storm sewers in Weaver Avenue Sanitary Relief Sewer (2003057), in the
City of Maplewood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co.,
Ltd. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers
in Weaver Avenue Sanitary Relief Sewer (2003057), in the City of
Maplewood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 4th
day of December 2008.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 12, 2009.
