AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty-eight Thousand Dollars
($68,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur Frontenac to be used for project costs
for the construction of storm sewers in Country View Storm Sewer
Replacement (2008085), in the City of Creve Coeur, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Parkway, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is
Sixty-two Thousand Thirty-six and 40/100 Dollars ($62,036.40) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
Five Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-three and 60/100 Dollars
($5,963.60), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty-eight Thousand Dollars
($68,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur Frontenac to be
used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Country
View Storm Sewer Replacement (2008085), in the City of Creve Coeur,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Parkway, Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Country View
Storm Sewer Replacement (2008085), in the City of Creve Coeur,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of
December 2008.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 12, 2009.
