HomeMy Public PortalAbout12813O R D I N A N C E NO. 12813 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($680,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Darst Road and Florissant Road Storm Sewer (MCFG-130) (2002063), in the City of Ferguson, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Six Hundred Nineteen Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty and 20/100 Dollars ($619,860.20) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Sixty Thousand One Hundred Thirty-nine and 80/100 Dollars ($60,139.80), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($680,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Darst Road and Florissant Road Storm Sewer (MCFG-130) (2002063), in the City of Ferguson, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Darst Road and Florissant Road Storm Sewer (MCFG-130) (2002063), in the City of Ferguson, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 2nd day of December 2008. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 12, 2009.
