HomeMy Public PortalAbout12822O R D I N A N C E NO. 12822 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,450,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in DC-09 Sanitary Relief (SKME-655) Separate Sewer Area I/I Reduction (90019C) in the Cities of Creve Coeur, Ladue and Olivette, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with SAK Construction, LLC for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is One Million Two Hundred Sixty Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-Six and 15/100 Dollars ($1,260,986.15), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Eighty-nine Thousand Thirteen and 85/100 Dollars ($189,013.85), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,450,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in DC-09 Sanitary Relief (SKME-655) Separate Sewer Area I/I Reduction (90019C), in the Cities of Creve Coeur, Lade and Olivette, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in DC-09 Sanitary Relief (SKMI-655) Separate Sewer Area I/I Reduction (90019C) in the Cities of Creve Coeur, Ladue and Olivette, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of January 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 12, 2009.
