HomeMy Public PortalAbout12823O R D I N A N C E NO. 12823 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($190,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Old Bonhomme Groby Storm Sewer Improvement (2006150), in the City of University City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J. H. Berra Const. Co., Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is One Hundred Seventy-one Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-six Dollars ($171,526.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is Eighteen Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-four Dollars ($18,474.00). WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT Section One. The sum of One Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($190,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Old Bonhomme Groby Storm Sewer Improvement (2006150), in the City of University City, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Const. Co., Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Old Bonhomme Groby Storm Sewer Improvement (2006150), in the City of University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day of January 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 12, 2009.
