HomeMy Public PortalAbout12824O R D I N A N C E NO. 12824 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,150,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Old Town Florissant Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II (89195A) in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is One Million Forty-four Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-five Dollars ($1,044,945.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Five Thousand Fifty-five Dollars ($105,055.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Old Town Florissant Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II (89195A), in the City of Florissant, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Old Town Florissant Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II (89195A) in the City of Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 14th day of January 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 12, 2009.
