HomeMy Public PortalAbout12825O R D I N A N C E NO. 12825 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,650,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Lower Meramec River Basin for the construction of sanitary sewers in Reinke Sanitary Relief (SKME-407) (2005064) in the Cities of Ballwin and Ellisville, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. for the construction of said sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is One Million Five Hundred Seventy-three Thousand Six Hundred Sixteen Dollars ($1,573,616.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventy-six Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-four Dollars ($76,384.00). WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,650,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Lower Meramec River Basin for the construction of sanitary sewers in Reinke Sanitary Relief (SKME-407) (2005064) in the Cities of Ballwin and Ellisville, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. for the construction of sanitary sewers in Reinke Sanitary Relief (SKME-407) (2005064) in the Cities of Ballwin and Ellisville, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day of January 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 12, 2009.
