HomeMy Public PortalAbout12826O R D I N A N C E NO. 12826 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Forty Thousand Thousand Dollars ($340,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Baumgartner Sanitary Relief (SKME-434) (2006032), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J. H. Berra Const. Co., Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Three Hundred Five Thousand Seven Hundred Five and 50/100 Dollars ($305,705.50), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Thirty-four Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-four and 50/100 Dollars ($34,294.50), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($340,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Baumgartner Sanitary Relief (SKME-434) (2006032), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J. H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Baumgartner Sanitary Relief (SKME-434) (2006032), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 9th day of January 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 12, 2009.
