Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($3,075,000.00) from the following funds in
the amounts listed: Sanitary Replacement Fund – One Million Eight
Hundred Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($1,845,000.00); and Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek – One
Million Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($1,230,000.00); to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary and storm sewers and removal of
inflow sources in CSO-Parkridge Addition Combined Sewer Separation and
Relief (2004054) in the City of Brentwood and City of Ladue, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates
Utility Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary and storm
sewers and removal of inflow sources.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers
is Two Million Nine Hundred Twenty-four Thousand Dollars ($2,924,000.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is
One Hundred Fifty-one Thousand Dollars ($151,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named funds sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Seventy-five Thousand
Dollars ($3,075,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the following funds in
the amounts listed: Sanitary Replacement Fund – One Million Eight
Hundred Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($1,845,000.00); and Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek – One
Million Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($1,230,000.00); to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary and storm sewers and removal of
inflow sources in CSO-Parkridge Addition Combined Sewer Separation and
Relief (2004054) in the City of Brentwood and the City of Ladue, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary and storm sewers and
removal of inflow sources in CSO-Parkridge Addition Combined Sewer
Separation and Relief (2004054) in the City of Brentwood and the City of
Ladue, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 7th day of
January 2009.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 12, 2009.
